🇳🇱 Het bestuur van Stichting Sport 020 (H1 Apollo Amsterdam) betreurt het u te moeten informeren dat het niet is gelukt om het benodigde budget voor het seizoen 23/24 voor deelname aan de BNXT League rond te krijgen.
Tot deze maandag hadden wij zicht om de licentie rond te krijgen. Na een zorgvuldige afweging heeft gisteren het bestuur besloten om het beroep tegen de afwijzing van de licentie aanvraag in te trekken vanwege ontstane onzekerheden m.b.t. de financiering voor het komende seizoen.
Desondanks zetten wij ons onverminderd in voor de ontwikkeling van topbasketbal in de regio Amsterdam/Amstelland. We onderzoeken een bredere samenwerking dan alleen tussen Stichting Sport 020 en Apollo Amsterdam.
Gezamenlijk streven wij naar een hoogwaardige opleiding voor jongens en meiden, met de mogelijkheid om door te stromen naar het Heren 1 of Dames 1 team dat op het hoogste niveau zal uitkomen. Hiermee willen we de regio voorzien van inspiratie, entertainment en verbinding door middel van basketbal.
In het komende seizoen zullen we uitkomen met een talententeam in de promotiedivisie en met jeugdteams op het hoogste niveau in alle leeftijdsklassen. Onze ambitie is om volgend jaar weer terug te keren in de BNXT League.

🇬🇧 The board of Foundation Sport 020 (H1 Apollo Amsterdam) regrets to inform you that we have not managed to secure the required budget for participation in the BNXT League for the 23/24 season.
Until this Monday, we had sight of getting the license in order. After careful consideration, the board decided yesterday to withdraw the appeal against the rejection of the license application due to uncertainties that have arisen with regard to funding for the coming season.
Despite this, we continue to commit ourselves unstintingly to the development of top basketball in the Amsterdam/Amstelland region. We are investigating a broader collaboration than just between Stichting Sport 020 and Apollo Amsterdam.
Together, we aim for a high-quality development program for boys and girls, with the possibility of advancing to the Men’s 1 or Women’s 1 team that will compete at the highest level. With this, we aim to provide the region with inspiration, entertainment, and connection through basketball.
In the coming season, we will compete with a talent team in the promotion division and with youth teams at the highest level in all age classes. Our ambition is to return to the BNXT League next year.
